Zive SP1 Potentiostat available

An economic high quality potentiostat/ galvanostat/ impedance analyzer especially for electrochemical experiments with batteries, fuel cells, solar cells, corrosion samples and corrosion, and electrochemical sensors. The Zive SP1 Potentiostat is supplied with software packages for different types of experiment and connects to a Windows XP or later computer via USB. Handles currents of up to 1 amp to a maximum of 10 V but weighs only 2 kg. Impedance meanurements can be made between 10 µHz and 1 MHz.

EA167 New Dual Reference Adaptor released

The Dual Reference Adaptor allows two reference electrodes to be connected to the single reference electrode input of a potentiostat. Ideal for trans-membrane and ITES (interface of two immiscible electrolyte solutions) experiments.

EA362 Dual Picostat

The eDAQ EA162 Picostat, high sensitivity potentiostat, has been superseded by the new EA362 Dual Picostat. The new Dual Picostat features improved sensitivity, and a bipotentiostat mode whereby two current signals can be monitored simultaneously from two working electrodes at disparate locations in the sample. There is also a new current signal offset capability to remove background signals so that signal changes can be recorded at higher sensitivities. This new unit is also electrically isolated and so is resistant to interference from neural stimulators, and ground loops.

New revision of EA164 QuadStat

The EA164 QuadStat, four channel potentiostat, has been re-released. This new revision features more range settings (from 20 pA to 10 mA) and a zero resistance ammeter operating mode available on each of its four channels. Now better value than ever!

Tethered membranes

Today eDAQ released its range of tethered membrane products. Tethered membranes are artificial planar phospholipid bilayers chemically bonded to a gold electrode by a series of molecular tethers. These membranes can house purified membrane proteins that form ion channels making them suitable for a number of studies including continuous membrane conduction monitoring, and electrochemical pulse techniques analogous to whole cell patch clamping. The speed and ease of experimentation using tethered membranes makes them ideal for pharmaceutical drug screening programs, as well as more fundamental ion channel investigations. Products include: SDx-R1 tethaPod, SDx-R2 tethaPatch, and SDx-T10 tethaPlate. More details on the SDx Tethered Membrane Systems page.

Pod-Vu software released

Pod-Vu software is designed to work with up to eight eDAQ USB isoPods to record and display signals such as pH, dissolved oxygen, nitric oxide, solution conductivity, temperature, and oxidation/reduction potential. The software automatically recognises the isoPods and allows for the calibration of sensors. isoPods are individually electrically isolated so that cross talk and interference is minimised, and are connected directly to the USB ports of a computer or via a USB hub.

Waveform Generator for electrochemistry

The ER175 Waveform Generator is especially designed for electrochemistry experiments and produces pulses, ramps, as well as triangular and sinusoidal signals. Triangular waveforms can be started anywhere between their upper and lower limits. Ramps can be paused at their instantaneous values, or reversed mid scan. Highly stable low speed ramps are particularly useful for corrosion experiments, or solid state electrochemistry.

New EA466 Integrated Potentiostat System

The new eDAQ ER466 Potentiostat has been released. This is our first integrated potentiostat where data acquisition, waveform generation and potentiostat functionality are all included in the one compact box that simplifing setup an usage. Two general purpose signal inputs are included for extraneous signals.

New EA163 Potentiostat

The EA163 Potentiostat has been introduced to update our venerable EA161 Poteniostat. The EA163 has an extended bandwidth range (now to 100 kHz) making it suitable for use with the Z100 Electrochemical Impedance Analyser, while still being capable of most analytical electrochemical techniques.
